I think Martyr is more notable than a terrorist. Wiki has many pages of many terrorists. are they really notable? if they why not a Martyr.

It would need good sourcing and not be original research. Thanks, SqueakBox 19:52, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't agree with the speedy deletion. I think "db-a7" is for articles which do not indicate notability at all;this one does. Although this article has reliable sources, it might still be deleted in AfD. There is a similar AfD going on at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sandeep Unnikrishnan. --Unpopular Opinion (talk · contribs) 17:31, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Keep and Expand...

Need to keep this post as this gives info about a martyr....Gajendra Pandey is notable in Current Indian scenario... and is frequently discussed about.... He is very much notable in India atleast at this point of time...... He is as much as equal as Major Unni Krishnana, Kakare, Amte and SalaskarM2SP (talk) 20:07, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Restoration

I have speedily restored the article and history. As recipient of the Ashoka Chakra, India's highest peacetime bravery award, (January 26, 2009), he qualifies as notable. =Nichalp «Talk»= 07:35, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
