"Formed a Band" is the debut single from English-based indie rock band Art Brut, and the first single from the 2005 album, Bang Bang Rock & Roll.

It is regarded^{[citation needed]} as an unusual song due to the style in which the lyrics are spoken instead of sung, as has been criticized as sounding like "a vocal train wreck" (Frank Blank - NME November '04) .

The song features on the 2006 EA Sports Video game FIFA Street 2.

The track peaked at #52 on the UK Singles Chart in 2004.
