- Redskins → Redskins (disambiguation) — (Discuss) — The NFL team is clearly by far the most likely target for "Redskins" and Redskins should redirect to that article. Going by article traffic statistics for August 2009 at http://stats.grok.se, Washington Redskins had over eleven times as many views (63,249) as the other five articles on this page combined (5,511). On a Google search for "Redskins", 48 of the first 50 results are for the NFL team. Propaniac (talk) 23:11, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

- Churchill (disambiguation) → Churchill — (Discuss) — The name "Churchill" has a large number of possible uses, as placename, surname of a distinguished family, common surname, name of a Cambridge college, and so on. Examination of the inward links (now corrected) to the existing Churchill page showed many to be references to Sir Winston, but a significant minority to be to places called Churchill, or other uses, such as the tank or the insurance company. It seems more generally useful to have no primary topic here, and to format the disambiguation page in a way which keeps the famous family in chronological order. - Backspacer (Pearl Jam album) → Backspacer — (Discuss) — Per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, the other album of this name only has one real incoming link. The Pearl Jam album can then have a link to a disambig page for the tour and the Supergrove album. --Lugnuts (talk) 13:18, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

- Feynman → Feynman (disambiguation) — (Discuss) — As all of the items refer to the Nobel-winning physicist or something related to him, and as most people searching will be wanting the physicist's article, we should reduce the number of clickthroughs by one to zero and move this to something like Feynman (disambiguation) and redirect "Feynman" to Richard Feynman. Sceptre (talk) 19:35, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
- Simonides → Simonides (disambiguation) — (Discuss) — I propose that Simonides be changed to a redirect to Simonides of Ceos, and the current content be transferred to Simonides (disambiguation) which already exists as a redirect to Simonides. I would argue that Simonides of Ceos is the primary use of "Simonides", as the incoming links to Simonides [4] would appear to confirm - all of them need redirecting to Simonides of Ceos, and changing Simonides to a redirect would fix this issue. - Robert Bass (businessman) → Robert Bass — (Discuss) — [Propose to move this article back to its original location as the primary destination for the search for Robert Bass based on prominence in media, ghits, etc. Robert Bass, the billionaire is a major figure, the other Roberts Bass are notable but more niche. - History of India → History of the Indian subcontinent — (Discuss) — Since this page deals with the history of the entire Indian subcontinent prior to 1947, I suggest that it be moved to a title that more accurately reflects its content. The page includes the histories of present-day Bangladesh, India and Pakistan, prior to their creation, so my proposal is to move History of India to History of the Indian subcontinent and then move History of the Republic of India to History of India. This, in my submission, would reflect more accurately the geographical extent of the territories whose history is sought to be covered as the identities of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan as understood in the present day are post-1947 constructs which share a common history prior to that year. - Gordon Smith → Gordon Smith (politician) — (Discuss) — Per my statement above, I believe that this page is ambiguous, particularly with the two well known Scottish footballers. Anyone presently looking for either of them has to go through two pages to find the person they are looking for. I invited comments two weeks ago for justification of why the page should not be moved but none have been made. -- Jmorrison230582 (talk) 07:46, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

- Gurdwaras in South America and Mexico → Gurdwaras in Latin America — (Discuss) — Probably not controversial, but I thought it should go through RM. - George V → George V (disambiguation) — (Discuss) — This enables us to treat George V of the United Kingdom as the primary meaning of "George V", which is consistent with the treatment of "George III", "George IV", and "George VI". PatGallacher (talk) 20:28, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- K.D. Lang → k.d. lang — (Discuss) — As WP:MOSCAPS says, "Some individuals do not want their personal names capitalized. In such cases, Wikipedia articles may use lower case variants of personal names if they have regular and established use in reliable third-party sources." (emphasis mine) The all-lowercase spelling of "k.d. lang" is verified through multiple third-party sources in the article, indicating that the all-lowercase spelling is the most common use. Therefore, the article should be moved to match. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 18:32, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

- German–Soviet military parade in Brest-Litovsk → Handover of Brest-Litovsk from Germany to the USSR (1939) — (Discuss) — I suggest to move the page to the new title because this event was more important (as the parade was only a part of the handover ceremony), besides the parade's prominence in modern Polish political discourse, and because the new title has greather scope. For example, it would allow to add a story by Krivoshein that he prevented passing of German trains with looted Polish property by ordering the tanks to stay on the rail tracks and pretend they were repairing the engine. This one as well as other events accompanying the handover besides the parade itself could be added to the aricle after move. Please note that the voting may be hijacked by participants of the coordinated POV-pushing group (called Easter European mailing list cabal), currently under ArbCom investigation (see [6] for more details), which has a long history of well-documented vote mobbing. Note that at least two of the cabal participants (Piotrus and radek (talk)) recently participated in coordinated reverts in this aticle.--Dojarca (talk) 08:52, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

- Hamengkubuwono → Hamengkubuwana — (Discuss) — The spelling with the letter a is one used by many Western sources, including historian M. C. Ricklefs and the Encyclopædia Britannica. Indonesian sources usually use the former due to the tendency to read the letter a with the o sound in the Javanese dialect. [7] Also, it would have been his common name in the 1970s, and notable online and offiline sources refer to him as such, [8], and Vince McMahon would redirected here because it would be more appropriate now referring to Vince Jr, as such, although it might be better to disambiguate it. --TaerkastUA (Talk) 17:01, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- Radiator → Radiative heater — (Discuss) — Radiator isn't a good article name, as anything which gives off radiation is a radiator. A simple stove for example also radiates heat. Also, a radiator doesn't specifically refer a device which emits thermal radiation; electrical, nuclear, ... radiation also counts; thus eg radio's, ... are also radiators. 91.182.170.41 (talk) 13:02, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

- Pandy (disambiguation) → Pandy — (Discuss) — Pandy has been tagged for merger to Fulling mill for nearly a year without any comment being made, except one that pointing the article being a jumping off point to palce names, which this article will do rather better than it ever could. I have done that now, which merely consisted of making the article a redirect, as there was virtually no useful content to. This frees up Pandy to be used for this. Since this involves overwriting an existing page, I am unable to do this as I am not an admin. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:36, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

- John Smeaton (baggage handler) → John Smeaton (Queen's Gallantry Medal recipient) — (Discuss) — Mr Smeaton has not officially been a baggage handler for a long time, and I sincerely doubt it is even fair or decent to suggest that being a baggage handler is what he was originally known for. Neither does it explain how he came to be a public speaker, columnist and political candidate. All of these things stem from his intervention during the 2007 airport attack, for which he received the QGM medal, and therefore I cannot see any problem with John Smeaton (Queen's Gallantry Medal recipient) as a better title for the article than John Smeaton (baggage handler). - Đakovica → Gjakovë — (Discuss) — I will cite WP:MOSKOS*On the principle that self-identifying entities are named primarily according to the term that they use for themselves, and since anglicised equivalents do not exist for Kosovo placenames, local official placenames are to be used. In practice this means using Albanian names for Albanian-governed localities and Serbian names for Serbian-governed localities. In each case, articles must start with the predominant local placename followed by the equivalent name in the other language.*95% of Gjakovë's population is Albanian, and Pal Lekaj its mayor is Albanian. The guidelines are very clear and therefore the title of the article should be in Albanian as the majority of the population is Albanian, and it is an Albanian-governed locality. - Cassandra Cain → Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) — (Discuss) — This seems to be clear naming conventions issue. I don't believe there is a context for the character outside of Batgirl. Dick and Stephanie have appeared prominently as Robin/Nightwing/Batman and Spoiler/Robin/Batgirl. The other names of Cassandra (seems to been the introduction, with the character assuming the Batgirl mantle in the following month) and Kasumi (evidently a plot twist in the JL: Elite storyline, reflecting in not renaming the Green Arrow article). There may be reason the change the name in the future, with fallout from Stephanie Brown as Batgirl, but currently, Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) is the most common name. -Sharp962 (talk) 14:48, 20 September 2009 (UTC).
