This is a gathering place for WikiDragons and WikiOtters. WikiDragons are good at large edits, and WikiOtters are good at helping other editors on odd jobs. These two WikiFauna are so complimentary we couldn't resist the opportunity to see what good could come from their collaborations.
This is also a sort of meeting place, where we share what's going on, what our latest projects are, etc.

We try to keep tabs on how many there are currently. Please let us know you're still an active WikiDragon or WikiOtter by participating in the biannual census.
Jakkinx (talk) 19:08, 21 October 2009 (UTC)- Hey, I'm a bit new to Wikipedia, and I'm trying to make a character list for AdventureQuest Worlds, an online flash MMO by Artix Entertainment. You can find the details on my User Page.

WikiOtters
Senthryl (talk) 15:15, 24 July 2009 (UTC) I'm new, but I'm ready to work!
January through June, 2009
112 WikiDragons were counted in the wild. A WikiOtter census was not taken. Future censuses will be done via registration and some quick math.
Current Projects

I think that Billy Mays should be included into the "Deaths" section for 2009, but the policy says his article has to be in at least ten languages, so I'm looking for translators.
Languages – Each language links to the article in that language..
This is a list of languages, it has been condensed to save space.

I have asked for a deletion review of File:JR Fun Big.gif. It was deleted because it's "not useful in an encyclopedia", so that destroyed the template I made for my userpage. The guy never told me his concerns, so I was unable to resolve the issue he had with the tag. This free image was also never orphaned, and deleted in less than a week after being put up for deletion. I got it undeleted, but still no one expressed their concerns on the image's discusion page. Then the out of policy deletion was used to speedily deleted it, even though it did not fulfill the requirements of Image is being redundant, corrupt, or not an image. --MahaPanta (talk) 00:13, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Wow. I've had image problems before-- it drives me crazy. Can you post a link pointing to the source image? I might be able to help you out. Bob the Wikipedian(talk • contribs) 01:09, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
The source image was here. The image was submitted as public domain with the only condition being that people downloaded it and rehost it instead of hotlinking it, a lot of people linked to the origional instead of saving their own copy, so the owner took it down to save bandwidth, but once an image becomes public domain, it is always public domain and free to use. It was an image of a cat dancing, and I used it in a template to let people know I like to have fun on my userpage. --MahaPanta (talk) 12:48, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Hmm. Looks like an admin was a bit trigger-happy... Let's hope your email comes back to you with permission. I had a similar incident earlier this month regarding a paleobiome illustration and its legend, which you may read about here. However, I was hasty to respond to the discussion, so the files were not deleted immediately. Rather, I got an extension by explaining I was emailing the NPS. The email response contained the permission I needed, which I posted in the deletion discussion and forwarded to the OTRS. Today those files still exist. On to check every so often. Still consumed by the job and but back for more mirth!
Major TO DO's
Boyle's law - Complete rewrite of the page as its bloody awful. Far too much conjecture and the history is just shocking!! Requires addition of a lot more actual science and replacement of the historic nonsense with referenced facts.
