The Watford Observer is a weekly local newspaper, published by Newsquest. Founded in 1863, the Observer serves the town of Watford in south west Hertfordshire, as well as the surrounding area. The paper covers local news, politics, and sport, including the town's largest clubs, Watford Football Club and Saracens.
It had a weekly circulation of 18,884 in the first six months of 2009, a 6.9% decrease on the same period in 2008.[1][2] It also publishes a free paper, the Watford Free.[3]
