The Walter and McBean Galleries present a program of exhibitions highlighting innovative work by emerging artists and experimental work by more established artists from throughout the United States and abroad.[1]

The Exhibition and Public Programs department at the San Francisco Art Institute forms a complex structure with five parallel sections:

  • Global Figures
  • New Models of Cultures and Art Production
  • Pacific Perspectives
  • Acting Out in the City
  • New Voices
