Here is a resource for the derivation of Adel's name (middle 4 letters of Philadelphia) http://www.georgiaencyclopedia.org/nge/Article.jsp?id=h-3023 but I don't know how to incorporate a source into the article. Can someone fix? Thanks. --Mjrmtg 19:23, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

made some revisions based on information obtained on gov. website

for example city's original name was Puddleville. 12.41.255.10 (talk) 17:24, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wonder why this information wasn't included originally. 12.41.255.10 (talk) 20:46, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

why was "puddleville" taken out of the article

Are the people of Adel ashamed that the city was initially referred to as Puddleville? It is clearly there on the government website so doesn't it belong here on the wikipedia version of the article? Please explain why it was taken out of the article. Those statements were sourced to credible websites and whoever deleted it is guilty of vandalism. EXPLAIN YOURSELF. Write on my talk page when you're ready to discuss it. If not, I'm going to be reposting that information within three days. 12.41.255.10 (talk) 20:49, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
