Stuart Hall for Boys is a private Roman Catholic school located in San Francisco, California, and is part of the Schools of the Sacred Heart network. It is associated with Stuart Hall High School, Convent of the Sacred Heart Elementary School and Convent of the Sacred Heart High School.[2]

Background and Curriculum

Stuart Hall For Boys was named after Janet Erskine Stuart, a British Sacred Heart educator. Founded in 1956, it offers single-sex education in a coed community for grades K-8.

The educational program is split into two divisions: the 'Lower Form' and the 'Middle Form'. In the 'Lower Form', the students study literature, language arts, social studies math, and science, French, Spanish, and Latin. In the 'Middle Form', the students build upon the knowledge they acquired in the 'Lower Form'. They are additionally taught religion, computer, art, drama, music, physical education, and other foreign languages.

For its music and arts program, Stuart Hall For Boys offers a variety of choruses for students as well as a four‐school orchestra and after‐school lessons in piano, flute, violin, and guitar. Coeducational drama and musical productions are available to students in grades 6‐8.[3]

In 2008, Stuart Hall for Boys and it's sister school, Convent of the Sacred Heart Elementary School, won the Common Sense Media Award.[4]
