Pokémon Origins, partly known in Japan as Pocket Monsters: The Origin (ポケットモンスター THE ORIGIN, Poketto Monsutā Ji Orijin), is an upcoming four-part Japanese anime television special for Pokémon. Unlike the on-going television series featuring Satoshi and his Pikachu, this special features the characters from the original video games Pocket Monsters Red and Green, such as main character Red and his neighbor and rival Green. The special will be broadcast on TV Tokyo on October 2, 2013, two weeks before the release of the X and Y video games and from November 25, 2013 in North America.[1][2][3][4][5]
