George Bedford Daniel was born on March 26, 1990 (age 24) in Brussels, Belgium.[1] He is the drummer/back up vocals also songwriter and producer for the alternative rock/indie rock band The 1975.[2] He met his fellow band mates Matty Healy, Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald at Wilmslow High School near Manchester, England. In 2002 Healy (former drummer) approached Daniel to ask him to be the final member of the band which sealed the final line up after a former band member left. This lead to Healy as lead vocalist and Daniel as the drummer. They have performed under the names Talk House, The Slowdown, Bigsleep, and Drive like I Do.[3] In 2012, they released their first EP Facedown on Dirty Hits record label[4] In 2013 they released their self titled album The 1975.[5] Their main inspiration is their own lives and filmmaker John Hughes.[6] Daniel is currently on tour with his fellow band mates until January 2015.[7]
