Daemonia Nymphe

Daemonia Nymphe (Δαιμόνια Νύμφη) is a Greek music band which plays Ancient Greek style music which nowadays often is categorized as ethereal, neoclassical[1], neofolk or gothic[2]. Daemonia Nymphe was established at 1994 by Spyros Giasafaki and Evi Stergiou. They made 5 albums.

Daemonia Nymphe pays much attention to authentic. Their musical instruments like lyra, varvitos, krotala, pandoura, double flute are made by famous Greek master Nicholas Brass[3]. The band shows are very theatric, the members use masks, ancient dress. Everything resembles like Ancient Greek mysteries. Lyrics contain Orphic, Omeric hymns, Sappho's poems for Zeus or Hekate.
