breaking citation templates[edit]

‹The template Category link is being considered for merging.› Category:CS1 errors: dates has suddenly ballooned from about six articles yesterday to 235 articles as I write this. Those additions appear to be the work of this bot. Please fix the bot.

The bot exposed the error, it did not cause it. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 18:48, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Britfilm: It appears that you created some of the articles that have this error, such as A Rum Affair. Could you please remove the incorrect |year= parameters? Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 19:24, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, that editor. It is a lot more than just the nonsense |year= parameter. In the past, I have raised the issue of malformed Trove templates on their talk page. I have gotten nothing back but lip service so I no longer attempt to educate them. Perhaps you will have better luck.

Incorrect dab removal[edit]

KWKW: the disambiguation in WDM (Washington, D.C.) should not have been removed in Special:Diff/1220246866. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 17:28, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch. I was reviewing the most recent edits and you got to that before I did. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 17:41, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Come to think of it, that might be a case where WDM (radio station) is a better title... Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 18:26, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Logical, but[edit]

The change from i (newspaper) to i here [1] makes sense, but it's not that good from an accessability perspective, I think. i is a little hard to see and click. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:49, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well, blame them for having a stupid inaccessible name. Not much the bot can do about it. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 09:52, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bot running on ANI[edit]

I understand the purpose of the bot is to improve/fix citations in our articles. But why is it running on ANI and making fixes there? I understand that we typically don't make these sorts of corrections on behalf of others when in the projectspace. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 03:26, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really remember asking it to edit that page specifically. Likely what it was is I did a scan of all pages with that issue, and just didn't notice it was on ANI. No real point in reverting. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 07:20, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
