Need some Help

[edit]

I would like to talk with you in personal about adding GTAStunting to the Grand Theft Auto Wiki. Feel free to send me a email or add me on MSN: Amphiron@gmail.com Feron (talk) 22:38, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that's good to know about Craxy and his minions. And don't stress over getting others involved because 1) the "dumbfucks" comment was aimed at all of us with a vested interest in seeing good edits levied upon the articles we are involved with, and 2) anyone using that kind of language and that kind of junior high mentality against any of the editors with whom we have been dealing deserves a hailstorm of chastisement from everyone involved. Elder Scroll Prod's

[edit]

You really want to have to go through dozens of article for deletions instead? I think that would be a big waste of time, but if you insist... Judgesurreal777 (talk) 15:39, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did too, but they seem to be only interested in fillibustering attempts to get ride of them, or just dont want to face the fact that a majority of their articles are fancruft. Either way, its in process now. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 22:23, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But you can help, lets delete the rest of these fancruft articles and trim this topic down to a bunch of very good articles! Judgesurreal777 (talk) 22:26, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May?

[edit]

may? is that when i kept changing your wikistress meter? well you just tick me off, it's nothing personal (well it is but that seems to fit with the sentence so i will go with it) oh and why remove my comments from your page? it kinda seems like you are sweeping it under the carpet in a way. but hey it's your page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.156.66.110 (talk) 08:10, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

nothing i have done can get me blocked. perhaps the admin thing was a little immature, but i never said i would do anything unethical, i just said i would do anything in my power, i.e. i will lobby against you. it is just you drawing conclusions and making wild accusations about me being a puppet of some dude (which you dodged the question of who). i am positive that no rational person would block me for anything i have done recently, save for the time i put that block message on your page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.156.66.110 (talkcontribs) 08:15, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm this barney guy's talk page made for some interesting and sometimes funny reading (especially the bit where he commented on jimbo's page), but he has a different style to me. It takes a lot to get me to snap, and even then i don't think i would call someone a "corrupt retarded fat pig Homo". That is 12 year old territory. 202.156.66.110 (talk) 02:27, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Major realms of The Elder Scrolls, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Major realms of The Elder Scrolls is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Major realms of The Elder Scrolls, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. I've deprodded this as I believe the article is fine. You might like to note that WP:PROD is not valid for articles that have previously been prodded, or have previously been discussed at WP:AFD, so the proposal to delete was invalid anyway.--Michig (talk) 20:43, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Niko Bellic

[edit]

It wasn't discussed—I was being bold. Considering that the pre-merge article had one body paragraph of text (very similar to the paragraph in the list) with no out-of-universe content and nothing to establish the notability required for a separate article per Wikipedia:Notability, this is a pretty obvious merge case. The real Craxy

[edit]

I couldn't help but notice you thinking every IP vandal is Craxy. I haven't even edited since since you had LAcfm blocked. After you had that account blocked, I simply left WikiPedia from editing. Yes me, Mr. Craxy, hasn't been on Wikipedia in almost 7 months. I mean, I do look up WikiPedia articles for information, but thats it, not editing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.214.237.186 (talk) 17:33, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And how can you call someone immature who hasn't even been on in months. You thinking every IP vandal is simply me is quite rediculous! I'm not the one who left those homo jokes on the GTA Gang Talk Page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.214.237.186 (talk) 19:47, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well yes you are! I left 7 months ago because I got tired of your BS and harrassment, everytime I made an edit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.214.237.186 (talk) 21:42, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And I'm admiting I'm wasn't sockpuppeting DUMB ASS. I'm out of here. I'll end the conversation if you stop fucking thinking every IP is me! Fuck! 66.214.237.186 (talk) 22:18, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, I didn't know people were this stupid, but you're way past stupid. Stupidity is the reason why I left. Good bye! 66.214.237.186 (talk) 00:05, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Hi Klptyzm, thought I'd drop you a quick note to ask you to tone down the language in your edit summaries. This is pretty unnecessary. Thanks, Gwernol 05:17, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, no I didn't see the edit summary as a personal attack, but it could be seen as biting the newbies and it certainly isn't civil. Trust me, I understand the frustration of dealing with vandals and trolls, but in the long term we all benefit if these situations can be dealt with in a calm and polite fashion. Good luck, Gwernol 14:28, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Frank West merge

[edit]

I merged Frank West into Dead Rising. Smile Lee and one of his friends, seem to be the only ones that refuse to accept the consensus. I personally feel he wont let the discussion end, until he gets his way. We might need to keep on eye on the articles, as I can bet he could be reverting the redirect.RobJ1981 (talk) 22:20, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I remind you that coordinating attempts to preserve a favored version of an article, or your opinion in a disputed merge or other discussion, is known as a Tag Team, and is generally considered unacceptable behavior. DGG (talk) 22:54, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
nothing personal, i left the same message on a number of pages. I dont think you've done anything wrong at all. How to decide when consensus has been achieved is an unsettled question at WP. DGG (talk) 00:39, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just had a good idea, instead of merging the articles. I think we could possibly build some type of "Characters and Story" article. It would allow for ample room to discuss the individual aspects of the story, and the individual aspects of the characters themselves. All without cramping and confusing the topic of the Dead Rising video game itself. The only reason I oppose this merge is because it would convolute these two subjects. Smile Lee (talk) 06:26, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Now that I look at it this merge has made one MONSTER of an article lol. I think I'm going to try and build that Characters and Story of Dead Rising. Smile Lee (talk) 06:29, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow. That really helped.

[edit]

The feeling of empathy is really helping me—I'm glad that someone understands. All I'm trying to do is discuss the reliability of the source given his moderatorship at SSBM. As you've observed, he misniterprets it as if I'm questioning his journalism which is not the case at all. Furthermore, he feels insulted as if I'm denigrating his site, which I'm not. Anyway, I won't bore you with the details; I really appreciate the sentiment. Thanks. Ashnard Talk Contribs 17:46, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Daedric Princes regarding this. You may request a review of this at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Until the deletion is reviewed, recreated articles with this title will be deleted. 00:33, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Apologies - got the bleedin wrong "diff" when going through the deleted contributions for the article. The correct user has been informed of why he shouldn't be recreating this stuff! SkierRMH (talk) 06:47, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Psi-ops info cutdown

[edit]

I understand the psi-ops article needed a little trimming but did you really need to get rid of most of the gameplay section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mystery Correction (talkcontribs) 01:14, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure about the GA nom? I was in the process of taking the article to standards but perhaps it would be better to nominate it after its ready, there are still sections needing expansion and sourcing such as "Cultural impact" which should at least be in line with Sephiroth's, which is also a work in progress but the article is closer to passing a nomination without trouble. There might be some cruft in there as well such as the mention of costumes and things of the sort. - Caribbean~H.Q. 20:40, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see, peer review isn't the same anymore so may be a good way to get the article reviewed. Anyway, if the backlog holds until next week I will be able to work with some of the issues. 21:17, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. I've removed the PROD notice you placed on Realms of Arda. I understand your concerns, and as I said in the edit summary, I apologise for not working on this article before now. Wikipedian Survey

[edit]

Hello,

My name is Brenton Stewart. I am an African American, doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin- Madison in Library & Information Studies. Currently I am conducting a study on the motivational factors of African American Wikipedians. I am asking for your help by participating in this short online survey which will take take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Please feel free to distribute to other Black Wikipedians. The survey will be available from Tuesday July 1, 2008 until Tuesday August 5, 2008. Thank you so much for your participation.

Vandalism

[edit]
I do not check the pedigree of an anon IP before I revert the vandalism they cause. I realize you think you OWN the article, but there are a lot of hard-working editors who have contributed to it, and nothing you are deleting is "erroneous". --Captain Infinity (talk) 10:35, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Snarky edit summary

[edit]

Just an FYI, writing edit summaries in the command form could be perceived as uncivil, like the recent edit you made to The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. I'm also curious why you feel a single sentence explaining how a criminal came to be in a prison is "unnecessary" in the lead, considering the game revolves around a criminal trying to escape from prison. — Levi van Tine (tc) 05:06, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The section you modified was the lead, not Gameplay. The specific paragraph within the lead was about the game's plotline, not its gameplay. — Levi van Tine (tc) 05:20, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please update your status with WP:VG

[edit]

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

AfD nomination of Niko Bellic

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Niko Bellic. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Niko Bellic. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:16, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, User:09aidepikiw/Sandbox 2

[edit]

Hello 09aidepikiw. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Sandbox 2".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:09aidepikiw/Sandbox 2}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
