This is me, Henry Trotter, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India

I am a PhD student in African History at Yale University currently conducting dissertation research in South Africa on port culture, especially focusing on the lives of sailors, dockworkers, and "sugar girls." I also work at the University of Cape Town as a researcher on higher education issues, such as open access, scholarly communication and open educational resources. I update various Wikipedia pages that fall under my areas of interest. I have also contributed a number of photographs that I took in South Africa, Asia, at Yale, and elsewhere.
