Accessibility

We’re committed to providing a website that is accessible and easy to use for all. We recognise that this is an ongoing process and we’re constantly seeking to improve.

The way our site looks

The Film and TV Charity’s website has been designed within Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and aims to conform to AA ratings. The WCAG is an independent set of guidelines that aim to make the web more accessible.

Our brand colours have been tested for accessibility standards for headline and non-headline content. Videos have been embedded from YouTube, so contain caption functionality which you can access by clicking the CC’ button on the video. In addition, we aim to make sure that all our images will have descriptive text for those using screen readers.

The way our site is built

Our website has been built to W3C AA standards and should respond responsively and appropriately to magnifiers and other tools that are built into modern operating systems.

We have built the site with the user in mind. Each page has a clear purpose with accurate image descriptions and user-friendly and descriptive hyperlinks between pages to help aid navigation.

Let us know how we’re doing

We’re here for everyone in the industry and our small team is working hard to make sure all our content and information is accessible to everyone. We’re always looking to do improve our experience, so if you have any feedback, please get in touch.
