Italy defender Alessandro Buongiorno will undergo medical tests with Napoli on Monday or Tuesday after the player’s agent reached a full agreement with the Partenopei, reports Sky Sport Italia.

Torino centre-back Buongiorno is on the verge of joining Napoli and will undergo medical tests at the beginning of next week.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the player’s agent, Beppe Riso has reached a final agreement with Napoli on Saturday night, so his client will have medical checks and sign his contract with Napoli on Monday or Tuesday.

The report claims the two parties have shaken hands on every contract detail, including bonuses, in case Napoli win the Scudetto.

Antonio Conte’s side will pay €40m to sign the Italy international. The international was part of the Azzurri squad at EURO 2024 but spent all four games on the bench.

Buongiorno snubbed an offer from Torino city rivals Juventus before accepting Napoli’s offer.
