🌟 The AXA Data Science Summit 2024 edition just came to an end in Dublin, Ireland. It was so great to see our incredible Data Scientist community get together once again and explore the future of data science.   A few numbers about this (yes, we do love data!): we had 170 participants from 17 countries, representing over 30 AXA entities! Our fellow data scientists enjoyed 40+ talks, 5 workshops, and 2 keynotes, including an incredible talk from Professor Alan Smeaton from Dublin City University.   We deep-dived exciting topics such as RAG, LLM fine tuning, sustainable AI, reinforcement learning, risk modeling, and much more.   As Alexander Vollert said in a speech, the Data Science community is truly pivotal to our collective impact at AXA. It aligns with our group's strategic goals of driving growth, scaling excellence for our customers, and expanding our role in society. The contributions of our colleagues all around the world drive optimization in call centers, enhance claims processes, and enable precise risk prediction and fraud detection, ultimately empowering us to make a tangible difference. 🚀 Exciting news! We're proud to announce we are working in partnership with Mistral AI to continue implementing artificial intelligence across the insurance value chain. We’ve already deployed our own AXA Secure GPT, serving nearly 150,000 users on the Microsoft Azure Cloud, and now we’re moving forward to integrate Mistral model into our solution. This will continue to empower our teams to extensively utilize standard AI features in a safe and responsible environment. We will be leveraging our capabilities in collaboration with #MistralAI to: 🚀 Develop specific use cases tailored to our activities. 🔍 Focus on reducing bias. 📈 Enhancing result interpretability. 🌱 Limit the carbon footprint generated by these new solutions. In line with that, we recently hosted our first #AXAGenAISummit, co-hosted by AXA Switzerland and us, AXA Group Operations, in Winterthur. With over 240 participants, 31 breakout sessions from AXA entities around the globe, 5 external speakers and 15 plenary sessions this event brought us together to accelerate our collective journey to unlock the future of Generative AI at AXA and find the most innovative use cases and application for AXA.  During the summit, open collaboration was strengthened and further amplified, including in the context of our AXA GenAI Center of Excellence (#AXAGenAICoE) launched earlier this year. 🎉🌟 Great to see AXA GO Malaysia’s grand debut at the MYTECH Career Fair last month, hosted by the University of Malaya! The atmosphere was buzzing with over 200 tech-savvy students on the lookout for exciting internship opportunities, and we were overjoyed to be a part of it.   We were absolutely thrilled to connect with over 100 enthusiastic students at our booth, who showed a keen interest in internship opportunities and our Graduate Program. The response was overwhelming, with 90% of the students expressing their desire to stay connected with AXA GO and learn more about our future opportunities.   During the event, we were able to introduce AXA GO as a tech-driven company to students who may not have been familiar with us before. We showcased our cutting-edge GenAI and our very own in-house Secure GPT, a hot topic for us right now! The response was incredible!   We were thrilled to identify the main areas of interest among the students, including AI, Data, and Network, and gained valuable insights into their expectations. It was truly eye-opening to see their enthusiasm and to address their concerns about work-life balance, remote work, and company culture.   The energy and enthusiasm at the MYTECH career fair were truly inspiring, and we can't wait to see where this wonderful journey takes us. 🏄♀️🏄♂️🌊✨ In Portugal, we've achieved an incredible milestone during AXA Week For Good! 🎉🇵🇹 30% of colleagues got involved in a truly impactful local activity with a strong CSR component! A huge hand to the team!   As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, AXA GO Portugal teamed up with SURFaddict - Associação Portuguesa de Surf Adaptado and ELO SOCIAL Associação para a Integração e Apoio ao Deficiente Mental Jovem e Adulto, AXA GO Portugal's 2024 CSR partner, to promote adaptive surfing and support individuals with disabilities. 🤝 SURFaddict, a pioneering organization in Europe, is dedicated to making surfing accessible to individuals with disabilities, while Elo Social supports people with mental disabilities. Together, we organized a unique morning of adaptive surfing for Elo Social members facing cognitive challenges.   Our volunteers helped with wetsuits, transportation, and provided support both on land and in the water. Seeing the joy on the faces of Elo Social members was truly fulfilling, and we're proud to have made a positive impact through this meaningful activity.   Thank you to all the volunteers who made this possible! 🙌 Let's continue to promote diversity, inclusion, and joy in our communities.
