À propos
The European Space Agency (ESA) is Europe’s gateway to space. Its mission is to shape the development of Europe’s space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe and the world. ESA is an international organisation with 22 Member States. By coordinating the financial and intellectual resources of its members, it can undertake programmes and activities far beyond the scope of any single European country. ESA's 22 Member States are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia and Lithuania are Associate Members. Canada takes part in some projects under a cooperation agreement. Five other EU states have Cooperation Agreements with ESA: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus and Malta.

#MondayQuotivation💡 🤔 How are you and the YPSAT team feeling after seeing your satellite launch on the Ariane 6 and now in space?❓ 🗨 "I think it's hard to summarize how the team is feeling. From the weeks before launch until now, it has been an emotional rollercoaster with a mix of emotions. Seeing the #Ariane6 launching only meant that for many of us, the critical part of the mission had just begun, and the atmosphere in the Mission Control Room at #ESOC was a mix of joy and tension, as we knew it was in space, but we did not know all the details and even if our pictures and videos made it back to Earth. Having worked on the YPSat Project for close to two years myself, seeing our #satellite reaching orbit aboard the Ariane 6, being in the Mission Control Room at ESOC as we had contact with our ground stations… It was like a scene out of a Science Fiction movie. The moment when we saw the videos and pictures from space, we all screamed of joy, we got tears in our eyes, and we could hardly believe it was true. The YPSat mission has been a life-changing event for all of us, and we could not have been prouder of our little satellite." 💬 – Lasse Fredagsvik, YPSat Project Communications Lead and Main Coordinator of Young ESA #ESA #SpaceExploration #Innovation #Inspiration #QuoteOfTheDay #MotivationalMonday #SuccessQuotes
