E-Commerce Week aims to inspire, educate and motivate micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs) and larger organisation to start and grow their e-commerce journey
The week of 18 March 2024 saw the first inaugural campaign week supported by the E-Commerce Trade Commission.
‘Putting the Ease into E-Commerce’ highlighted the inspiration, help and support available to small businesses wanting to start, grow and export using e-commerce.
Here are some of the highlights of the week.
Lord Offord of Garvel CVO, Minister for Exports at the Department for Business and Trade visited Whittard of Chelsea, a great British business seeing real success exporting its products via e-commerce. See the highlights of the visit here and hear about how the company exports to 40 global markets.

The Institute of Export & International Trade hosted 2 webinars the first titled
“How businesses can use e-commerce to grow internationally” with a panel comprising representatives from some of the world’s leading e-commerce platforms alongside already-exporting SMEs. Watch the recording now.
The second webinar “What is the social value of e-commerce trade?” explored the societal benefits and risks in the increasing use of online marketplaces and platforms by businesses and can be viewed here.
