Bayan kammala karatun sa da banbanci a Cibiyar Aikin Jarida ta Ghana, Igiebor ya fara aikinsa a gidan talabijin na Najeriya da ke jihar Edo, inda muƙaminsa na ƙarshe ya kasance babban editan labarai. Ma'aikaci na gaba shine National Concord Group, inda ya kasance editan labarai. Ya bar wurin ya zama mataimakin babban editan mujallar labarai ta Najeriya Newswatch.[1]

A cikin 1991, Igiebor ya kafa mujallar labarai mai zaman kanta Tell kuma ya zama babban editan ta. Kamar Igiebor, yawancin 'yan jarida na Tell sun zo mujallar daga Newswatch, bayan da aka kashe editanta Dele Giwa ta hanyar bam na wasiƙa kuma manufofin edita ya zama rashin tsoro.[2]
