A moment of truth for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) students, 7-Eleven Hong Kong once again gives out heartwarming "7-11 Hugs" to support the students and boost their spirit as they await their HKDSE results tomorrow, 17 July. Our dedication and connection with the local community and support to young people during important milestones in their lives never cease. Through this heartwarming and interactive campaign, students can share a virtual hug by tapping their phones together and receive a voucher for free 7-Eleven signature own brand fish balls or siu mais. Featuring an animated video with an original song created by local illustrators, we highlight the power of togetherness and encouragement through a simple hug. Earlier this month, we extended a very warm welcome to our 2024 Future Retail Leaders Programme cohort where nine graduate associates from Hong Kong and Singapore gathered to attend the orientation week in our Hong Kong office.      The 4-day orientation was filled with exciting activities where our graduates associates had the opportunity to meet and learn from our business leaders about their retail insights and career aspirations, completed their store learning expedition and get first-hand experience of our store operations and distribution center, visited Pokfulam Farm to explore the historical roots of DFI, as well as accomplished a team building session with their fellow graduate associates.     After their store attachment, the group will very soon start job rotations within our Commercial, Marketing, People & Culture, and Supply Chain functions. Recognising the harmfulness to health and the environment due to improper disposal of unwanted drugs, Mannings became the first-ever Hong Kong community pharmacy chain to offer an unused medicines disposal service last year and collected over one million unused pills through the pioneer programme.   This year, we continue reinforcing the importance of safe and proper disposal of unwanted pills by expanding the programme and doubling the scale to cover nearly 60 Mannings Pharmacies, making it even more convenient for customers to get rid of unwanted pills safely.   From now until 4 July, collection boxes for unwanted medicines are available in all Mannings stores with a Pharmacy Service (excluding Airport stores). Only solid pills can be collected; dangerous drugs and liquid medicines are excluded. The pills will be collected and passed to an Environmental Protection Department-licensed chemical waste collector for safe and proper disposal at a chemical waste treatment centre. Join us by taking unwanted pills to a Mannings Pharmacy and consult our pharmacists about any medication to minimise wastage.
