The Regional Passport Office Ahmedabad is organising a passport mela at all the Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) in the city Saturday. According to an official release, “The passport mela is being organised, keeping in view of the high demand for passport services at present and to reduce the waiting period for appointment.”
The applicants can book their appointments on the passport seva portal. Those applicants who have already booked their appointments can reschedule them only once, for the additional slots available on March 25, Saturday.
Those applying under the “tatkal” category are mandated to produce three out of thirteen documents mentioned in the list of documents in the document adviser on the website.
“There are certain types of categories of applicants that are not eligible for ‘tatkal’… Such applicants must download the undertaking on websites and submit at the Passport Seva Kendras at the time of submission of application,” it stated.
About 800 such appointments for Saturday were received at each of the PSKs in Mithakhali and Vijay Char Rasta, said a release.
