Ending the “feud” that lasted almost 20 years, actors Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat, who sent shockwaves across the nation with their sensual performance and chemistry in director Anurag Basu’s erotic thriller Murder (2004), hugged it out and posed for pictures together during a wedding reception in April this year. Despite Sherawat labeling their fight as “childish” in 2021, it took three more years for them to be seen together again.

Recently, Hashmi spoke about the feud and their reunion after so many years. “It (the meet) was very warm and cordial. I saw her after a very long long time. I don’t think we had an encounter like that after I met her a couple of times after the release of Murder,” he said during a chat with News18.

“We were young and stupid at that time. There’s a phase in life when your decision making power is so limited and you are just so impulsive. Some things were said by her, some by me; they were mean. I think it’s just bygones and we also kept that aside long back. It was very nice seeing her. She was very warm, I too was,” the actor added.

During News18’s rapid-fire round, when asked who’s that one co-actor he wished he could have worked with again, Emraan Hashmi promptly named Mallika Sherawat.

Speaking to Mandira Bedi on The Love Laugh Live Show in 2021, Mallika Sherawat mentioned that many of her co-actors had ego clashes with her. “The funniest was with Emraan Hashmi, during the promotions of Murder, that we had a misunderstanding or something. It was so uncalled for and childish on my part, I’m no less,” she recalled. “I lost touch with him and it’s really sad, because he was a wonderful co-star, because he’s so friendly and giving. He’s a nice boy,” the Welcome actor added.
