The first meeting between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup happened in 2007 in Durban where the Men in Blue won in Bowl Out after the game was tied.
The second meeting between the arch-rivals happened in the same tournament in the final in Johannesburg which was another thriller with India once again victorious by five runs.
The 2012 clash in Colombo was a one-sided affair with India winning by 8 wickets. Pakistan's side was on the decline and Virat Kohli made his first impression on the marquee clash
It was more or less the same in 2014 with Pakistan batting once again looking spineless and Kohli stood up with contributions from the other end to help India to a 7-wicket win.
The 2016 game in Kolkata was an iffy win for India. Despite a low run chase, Pakistan put on a decent fight with the ball but failed to pick up chase master Virat Kohli who took India to a 6-wicket win
The 2021 clash ended with a gut punch to the Indian side as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s record opening partnership saw Men in Green beat India by 10 wickets in Dubai.
The 2022 World Cup in Melbourne is arguably one of the best games these two sides have played in the T20 World Cup with Virat Kohli coming with an innings for the ages and taking India to a six-wicket win
