Job Mission:


  • In alignment with the Global Arts & Culture strategy, and in support of the Head of PR, manage and execute CHANEL Korea’s Arts and Culture projects to express Chanel’s connection to contemporary culture and commitment to support new ideas, broader representation, and collaboration across the local art community in South Korea.
  • Liaise with the Global Arts & Culture team and collaborate with the three business divisions to develop Chanel Korea’s local client journey and engagement strategy.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Overall management and supervision of Korea’s Arts & Culture projects in collaboration with the Global Arts & Culture Team
  • Collaborate with Global Arts & Culture team to develop Korea’s local engagements, while consulting all three business divisions to ensure complementarity.
  • Work with three business divisions to consider and incorporate client journey and engagement where possible and appropriate
  • Propose specific programmes and engagement activities in collaboration with local arts and culture organizations and partners to the Global Arts & Culture team for review and approval.
  • Support and develop local network of contemporary art and cultural POIs for events and activations in market
  • Coordination and supervision of programme/event details and other contents (logo exposure, promotion material texts, etc.) and their validation process with Global Arts & Culture Team
  • Liaise with official art & culture partners in South Korea in support of local and global A&C projects
  • Create a framework for CHANEL Culture pass in Korea and strive to contribute to employee engagement through its implementation.
  • Measure, analyze, consolidate and report on local A&C activities to the Global A&C and relevant key stakeholders


Required Competencies


  • Excellent interpersonal relations and enriched media network.
  • Computer skills: MS office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong capability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines is essential
  • Understanding of arts and cultural fields globally is preferred, methodical manner and outgoing personality
  • Proven track record of operating art & culture programs.
  • Expertise and relationships in the field of arts and culture
  • Strong drive to make things happen.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, together with strong presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage professionally with different levels of stakeholders including London/ Paris office and build partnership locally, regionally and globally.
  • Agile, ability to use discretion and deal effectively with uncertainty, change and ambiguity.
  • Innovative, open-minded, proactive, independent and customer orientated.
  • Strong local network in contemporary art and eagerness to continuously discover and propose potential opportunities for pipeline building.


Role Specifications

Academic / Professional Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Preference: Major in Arts Management and Culture or the Humanities
  • Proficient in English


Work Experience


  • Minimum 7 years of art & culture relevant work experience preferred..
  • Experiences and knowledge in art and culture industry.
  • Experiences in working with Luxury brands is a plus
