Event Horizon 1997
Better every watch. Just gonna go for it here — some of my fave production design ever for a movie like this. The med bay, the meat grinder, the green evil looking stasis chamber, and the coup de gravity drive!!!! Absolutely insane.
Sam Neill bristles with weird menace, all the more eerie and unsettling for being kind of unmoored from the narrative arc of the movie. And Laurence……….. the amount of pathos he injects into a story about floating fire is just what the fuck acting is about.
