This is a gadget/user script to easily add a new Item while editing a Statement and noticing that the desired Item is missing.

Usage

Note: If you want to create a few test-items, please do so on test.wikidata.org. Get started at https://test.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Zvpunry/NewItemGadget

1. Add the following to Special:MyPage/common.js:

2. Add or edit a Statement on an Entity that takes an Item as value

3. Click the "Create New Item" button (or move to it with Shift-Tab and use it with your keyboard)

4. Fill out the form, all fields except Aliases are required. Label, Description and Aliases must be filled out in English.

5. Submit the form
