Վիքիտվյալներն ազատ և բաց գիտելիքի շտեմարան է, որ կարող են կարդալ և խմբագրել թե՜ մարդիկ և թե՜ մեքենաները։

Վիքիտվյալները գործում են որպես միասնական շտեմարան իր քույր՝ Վիքիպեդիա, Վիքիճամփորդ, Վիքիբառարան, Վիքիդարան և այլն, նախագծերի "կառուցվածքային տվյալների" համար։
