Motivation

edit

Most entities in the database are already aligned to Wikidata, but adding the SNARC id's to wikidata allows for better intergration and the ability to easily identify gaps in relevent data on Wikidata, especialy related to Welsh languages labels and descriptions. The dataset contains valuable data alignments, links to relevent media at the National Library of Wales, short biographies for people ect not found on Wikidata and so including the ID will add value to relevent items. The aim is to continue developing the dataset, through research projects and crowdsourcing work and so the richness of data should improve over time. Jason.nlw (talk) 08:59, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
