Global unblock for 92.43.64.68

Status:    Not done

hi, could my school be unblocked please? I noticed alot of pages that I am currently researching are in need of an expert. this is my only opputunity to edit the pages and potentially solve the problems. for example Cardiovascular disease. Thank you. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by 92.43.64.68 (talk) 10:27, 8 Oct 2010 (UTC)

Does not look to be wise at this time, see the contributions for your IP address thus far. The best solution may well be to contribute from your home internet connection instead, if one is available. If you contribute using a registered account for a significant period, it's possible you might qualify for Global IP Block Exempt later, which would allow you to contribute at school from your registered account.
You may want to NOT request GIPBE instead, however: If you log into a school computer and you fail to log out, for instance, and someone were to vandalize using your account, you'd be held responsible for the misuse of the account. I'd heartily recommend that you simply edit from home instead, as so far there's little to show that your classmates are going to be maturing at a more rapid than usual pace. Locked as vandalism, though I wonder if the issue is stability-related instead of malevolence. He can request an unlock and explain the issues then. Kylu 02:17, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Spamming copyright violations. Jafeluv 08:24, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Per X-wiki, he has only done it once each on EnWiki and EnWikiSource; perhaps a warning and education is called for before a global lock? -- Avi 16:05, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Actually they've posted the same copyvio on oldwikisource[1][2] and en.wikibooks[3] too? But maybe you're right that it's a little early for a global lock. I'll re-report if the problems persist. Jafeluv 18:45, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Status:    Done

Based on the postings here on Commons I took a look at the en wp cu page and ran through the accounts there. The activity is mostly Commons and en wp (& they are blocked there) but not all. It might just send a message to the company concerned if these accounts were locked?

Pity there isn't more cross wiki co-operation in such things :(. Cheers --Herby talk thyme 14:09, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
