Global unblock request for English Wikipedia user Matthew.Dimashki

The following request is closed: not done. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Status:    Not done

Greetings, I've been blocked by Shizhao (meta.wikimedia.org) for using an open proxy (nothing I'm aware of) anyhow, I edit wikipedia from my work place and use an internet connection through a server and i guess that's where the problem is, and I couldn't insert the unblock template on my talk page because of the same reason (unable to edit pages)...please help I need to edit stuff :S, thx -- user:Matthew.Dimashki 86.96.226.88 13:28, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

When you saw the block messsage, was you logged in as user:Matthew.Dimashki? Ruslik 19:09, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
yes I was and was able to check my profile from the upper right account link, but was not able to edit anything including my own talk page, but I have just checked this issue and was again able to edit, so you can disregard this issue till it happens again with me :) thanx for your assistance 86.96.226.88 07:00, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
I am once again blocked for the same reason (i.e. Editing from your IP address or IP address range has been disabled on all wikis by Shizhao (meta.wikimedia.org). The reason given was "Open proxy"), could you please check this issue, its starting to annoy me! thanx 86.96.226.88 06:49, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
What was the exact message? Ruslik 07:01, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
this is the exact message:
You are currently unable to edit pages on Wikipedia.
You can still read pages, but cannot edit, change, or create them.
Editing from your IP address or IP address range has been disabled on all wikis by Shizhao (meta.wikimedia.org). The reason given was "Open proxy".
To request unblock, visit your talk page and add the text {{unblock|global block — REASON}}. Replace "REASON" with the reason for requesting unblock.
Additionally, you may appeal the global block at Steward requests/Global.
The block expires on 6 April 2012 at 12:23.
thanx for your assistance 86.96.226.88 08:18, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
The global block in question is here. The IP was unblocked at one point but then reblocked as an open proxy (see No open proxies). I don't think unblocking it can be considered; one possibility is to request IP block exemption for your account on this page. Jafeluv 08:29, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Not done Agree that this should not happen. fr33kman 04:20, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

just perfect, here i was trying to be useful to Wikipedia, seems it doesn't deserve it, thank you anyway 86.96.226.88 10:22, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

en:User:Matthew.Dimashki was granted IP block exemption on 9 April. That should be enough to solve his problem at least on the English Wikipedia. EdJohnston 15:22, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Global block for Kutiya ki choot

Status:    Done

This user is a total Vandal. He has a very offensive username {which has a very bad meaning in hindi}. He has created articles with a common name {i cannot state the name as it is too bad}in many wikis. He is already block in many wikis. --Vibhijain 16:08, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Done by another steward; thank you. For vandal accounts it's preferred to use "hardblocks" instead (account creation dissabled and autoblock enabled [optionally e-mail blocked]). Regards, -- Dferg ☎ talk 18:22, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Request for Global warning (and, at a later stage, possibly a block) for Tamasflex

Status:    Not done

I asked the Hungarian Wikipedia to warn user Tamasflex to stop editing in languages he does not know. The Hungarians answered that they are not in a position to achieve a global block. Instead the suggested me to go here. I hope I am at the right place here. As for my request and its background, please see here for the reasons why, it is a pretty long story. Tamasflex just ignores any direct request to stop working this way. HHahn (discussions on this topic) 13:55, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

  • After been blocked on en and sending disruptive emails(e-mails have been blocked) he continued his behaviour on commons and- after being blocked there- in de( where he is now blocked, too). He might continue that behaviour... --Müdigkeit 23:19, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Done Normally I'd ask for more discussion with the user in question, perhaps mediation, but since they are using the global account to bypass a block condition I'm willing to lock this account. fr33kman 05:56, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

unlock for KnowIG

Status:    Not done

I want to be unlock, but first I'm going to talk about the situation at the moment. User Bill william compton, made a racist comemnt. Now I don't care what you think it was offensive and cause it's talking about my nationality therefore it is racist. Not one person has said sorry to me or supported me for that comment which was aimed at me in a discussion that I had nothing to do with. Also note the previous comments from Racepacket. Bill then antagonises the situation by sticking a box on what he wasn't asked to do he was dilberatly proking. I then go OTT cause I've seen the box seen the racist comment, we had an arguement I gave him a taste of his own medicine and get goaded for it and slapped on. Appologies all round. Now racepacket has an RFC. I comemnted on there and Bill came in with his biased crap and went around endorsing any positive comment. Now I and an Admin moved some bits which were reponses not a view point, or points asking for a response. Bill edit warred and went to ANI to get me removed by bringing up a resolved issue. He did this and ran round several admins to do this. Bullying hatred right there and don't you dare tell me otherwise. So I get blocked. He then appears on my page saying I only got you blocked cause you kept changing my things. Since when was that a crime! WTF so why do I get indef then. Oh yeah cause his a bully and went to get me indef removed cause he doesn't understand Wikipedia. I make a sensible unblock request and then Sandstein declines with the LAMEST decline ever takes away my user page and refuses to talk. If he bothered to talk to me i wouldn't have been running after him to get him to communicate. Bad admin and as usual I look like the bad guy. If you bother to talk to someone instead of abusing powers you would get somewhere. and abr were proper slow in replying to everything thus making the situation worse as you have no idea what's going on. If you bothered to talk to someone you might had seen the truth of what was going on but oh no. Wikimedia allows bullying by selfish and uncommunicative people. Joke. Therefore I think we can have a discussion and unblock me and have a resolution.

If you look at my block log, I got block RFC a few times because of TT bullying. This ended in a months block since then he has left me alone. Notice from how I go from November to Jan without a block. And the block in Jan was for edit warring, so that doesn't really count. Then I had a shocking GA review which was not done properly. I replied i got blocked, for incivity. Then I did something on the Diamond Jub page. Fine nothing wrong there apart from one editor who owned and didn't liike the change. Then proceeded to write everytime I replied that's not an answer cause he didn't like my reply. I was not incivil and yet was blocked and even had the user stating that he wanted to get me blocked. So lets recap. Only 1 deserved block as TT was a big OTT bullying, and that last one wasn't incivil oh but indef? I get myself unblocked and am fine until the incident above. So why am I indef blocked for what was essentally 2 counts of incivity (even though one was more appropiate with edit warring), one count of made up incivity 4 accounts of block from bullying by TT and one edit warring. Joke blocks shouldn't be indefed. And as usual no one wanted to talk to me or see from my view point. Sorry to be blunt and call them joke but you know. not a single bit of an admin talking after a block or asking me what was really going on--2.102.252.47 11:51, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
