The Collaborative Media Network is a Wikinews Foundation version 2. It was first developed in an IRC meeting in April 2008 (log). Although created by Wikinewsies, to provide accreditation for Wikinews, it may provide accreditation for other similar sites in the future.

It is being developed in a non WMF wiki at collabmedia.net.
