Highlights from Cradle Open Day Sarawak 2024! On 6th July 2024, Cradle hosted its second Open Day for this year at TEGAS Digital Village, Sarawak. Attendees enjoyed a series of insightful sessions, including: 📍Cradle Conversation Experts from Cradle, Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation, and EB Tech delved into artificial intelligence (AI) & its pivotal role in advancing Sarawak's tech landscape. Moderated by Ts. Adam Ramskay, Cradle CEO’s Office, the discussion revolved around the importance of integrating AI in developing ecosystems and the state's readiness to adopt it. Cradle, as the focal agency for Malaysia's startup ecosystem, supports the AI initiative that contributes to developing this technology. 📍Cradle CIP 101 During this session, Zariq Asshifa, our Executive of Portfolio Management shared with attendees about the available grants offered to startups looking to spur their growth: 🚀 CIP Spark: Assists early-stage entrepreneurs in product development and commercialisation. 🚀 CIP Sprint: Supports SMEs in the commercialisation of tech-based business ventures. 📍Cradle Counsel Hafez Azhar, our legal expert, gave participants a detailed briefing on navigating the due diligence process for grant applications. He highlighted several critical aspects that entrepreneurs often overlook. 📍Cradle Cultivate Hannah Marzuki, Head of Unit, Senior Manager of Branding & Marketing at Cradle, conducted a session in which she introduced Cradle’s value-added services. Offered to Cradle's grant recipients, these services include mentoring, networking opportunities, and other exclusive benefits. Cradle Open Day was a vibrant platform where participants delved into AI’s transformative potential, explored grant opportunities, gained crucial legal insights, and learned about Cradle’s support services. This event underscored Cradle’s dedication to nurturing innovation and empowering entrepreneurs for sustainable growth in Sarawak’s burgeoning tech sector.
