Candidate must be able to maintain a calm posture in a tense environment.

Being able to be present on site is vital for this role.

Working Hours are Monday till Friday.

Occasionally site presence is required at 06:30.

We are currently looking for an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Expert, based in IJmuiden.

You will report to the BNL HSE lead and work closely with the Benelux HSE team.

**Key responsibilities associated with the job:**

- Perform risk assessments and define mitigation measures.

- Develop and update EHS documents such as the EHS plan and emergency management concept.

- Ensure that the EHS plan is known and executed by all relevant stakeholders.

- Support the operation to ensure that EHS-related permits are available.

- Conduct regular site inspections and (sub-) contractor assessments, and provide and analyze regular EHS reports.

- Ensure all incidents are recorded, investigated and appropriate measures are defined, implemented and monitored.

- Escalate in case of non-compliance.

- Promote the sharing of best practices and document lessons learned internally and externally.

- Develop, mentor, and train (site-based) personnel in all requirements coming from local legislations and internal procedures.

- Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation, internal procedures, and Wind Industry best practices.

- Define, update, and organize trainings and refreshers regarding the project-specific ERP and HSE plan.

- Actively look to improve safety standards.

**Qualifications needed:**

- Solid experience as an EHS professional in the Wind Industry.

- Expert knowledge in EHS management systems and risk mitigation strategy.

- Recognized EHS qualification.

- Excellent knowledge of the English language.

- Good communication skills, team player.
