MISSION

  • Ensure the development and continuous improvement of the Company HSE Policy and Management System in accordance with the local applicable legislation.
  • Report to Company HSE Manager or site manager on any HSE issues occurred on site.
  • Liaise continuously with the workforce and supervision on HSE issues.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Verify the adequacy and application of the Company and Site HSE related procedures;
  • Ensure the fulfilment and implementation of HSE requirements according to local HSE regulations;
  • Supervise HSE procedures implementation in the operative sites;
  • Liaise with the Procurement/operational Function for supplier and sub-contractor selection and HSE assessment;
  • Check that Subcontractors perform their activities in accordance with all the HSE applicable procedures, regulation and standards, promo, ng all necessary actions to ensure that such procedures and regulations are observed;
  • Organize, plan and participate to periodical HSE walk around, Inspections and Audits on site, prepare all the relevant reports, action plans, verify the follow up and the timely implementation of the corrective actions;
  • Liaise with HR Function to identify personnel HSE training needs and develop specific HSE training programs;
  • Deliver Site HSE induction and planned internal HSE Awareness trainings;
  • Organize and participate to all relevant site HSE Meetings;
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents and analysis in order to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures;
  • Perform the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment Workshop;
  • Monitor the evolution of Local HSE Legislation and provide consultancy to senior management;
  • Plan and lead the company HSE Management Review meetings;
  • Conduct internal HSE inspections;
  • Spread HSE rules / standards / procedures / bulletins on site;
  • Ensure adequate HSE reporting in line with Company procedures;
  • Verify the compliance of the equipment utilized on site in accordance to the applicable local regulation;
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system on site;
  • Prepare and administer HSE Key Performance Indicators for the operational activities;
  • Monitor and maintain control measures in the use of hazardous materials;
  • Supervise Environmental aspect on site, supporting key personnel;
  • Participate in daily Tool Box Talk.

Skills

  • Knowledge of local HSE legislation and main important international standards on HSE management system (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001).

Competences

  • At least 1 year of experience in HSE activities within Energy/logistic sectors in the Netherlands;
  • HSE Qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (i.e. MVK) is considered a plus;
  • BHV proficient is considered a plus;
  • Fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft office tools;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and carefully;
  • Teamwork;
