ACCIONA, in its Industrial Business Line, needs to incorporate a Health, Safety & Environment Manager for theTENNET Projects located in the Netherlands.

Scope

Ensure that operations are carried out safely and with consideration of environmental protection. Promote a positive culture of safety and environmental awareness to all site supervision and workers. Ensure that the project is aware of and complies with all legislation in relation to the use of its plant and equipment as well as workplace activities and that the project meets its statutory and industry obligations in respect to industrial and safety/environment matters at all times.

Responsabilities

• Identify all authority requirements associated with the Project and the management of all necessary approvals
• Advises on Project contractual requirements of the Safety Management System as required
• Perform the Audit protocol and scheduled required by Law.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate HSE team.
• Ensure company adherence to the Health and Safety Regulations. Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and implement changes where relevant.
• Promotes safety values to clients and Authorities
• Manage Client HSE concerns and expectations.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure safety, health and environment hazards are corrected, eliminated or guarded
• Manage HSE training needs of the whole project.
• Manage permits to work to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements
• Lead accident and near-miss investigations recording the findings as required
• Advise Project Director of all incidents reportable under the companies recordable incident guidelines.
• Liaise with site Facilities Manager to ensure all good environmental practice, environmental requirement of the Project, health and safety related equipment, for example fire safety equipment, PPE, first aid supplies are available onsite and maintained as required
• Lead the site on safety improvements; work with the company on its strategy

• Interact with all authorities regarding HSE related queries.
• Conducts their required safety performance KPI’s for safety
• Implement ACCIONA H&SE initiatives
  
  

Requisitos del candidato

Academic Background / Qualifications

Engineer/Technical graduate

Complementary Training

• NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
  
  

Knowledge Of Computer Skills

Office automation

Languages / Level

Native English/Valuable Spanish Medium level/Valuable Dutch

Years Of Experience Required

• 7 years as /
• 4 Electrical Works / Valuable NL/TENNET exp.
  
  

Areas Of Experience Required

Experience of strategic and estates management of health, safety and environment in a multi-site environment.

Experience in the design and delivery of a positive health, safety and environment culture to reduce workplace risks.

Experience of managing related contracts / agreements for provision of health, safety and environment services and equipment.

Experience of delivery or procurement of appropriate health, safety and environment training.

Ability to drive forward change through analysis of customer demand and flow

Experience of working in a heavy engineering environment

Knowledge and experience of the application of CI tools, specifically problem solving

Experience of communicating and influencing at all levels of an organisation

Experience working with external authorities

Flexibility to provide health , safety and environment support to all shifts and travel to other sites as required

Thorough understanding of Safety & Environmental standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
