Kelly Ripa is spilling her secret to getting a plump-looking pout (and it doesn’t involve any injections).

The talk show host, 53, posted a makeup tutorial to Instagram over the weekend, after revealing on Live with Kelly and Mark that she follows a lip-liner hack she learned on social media to get a camera-ready pout.

"No, I didn’t get lip fillers. This is the lip trick you monsters,” she wrote.

The video starts off with a hilarious disclaimer from Ripa. “Although I do enjoy the shape of my lips, like all women my age, my upper lip seems to be sucked down into Middle Earth,” she says in the clip.

She then starts lining just outside of her natural upper lip shape with the Chanel Stylo et Ombre Contour eyeshadow and liner stick in the dark brown shade, Contour Clair, which provides definition.

“It’s going to look nuts, but just bear with me,” she said as she drew a defined lip shape in the dark brown shade above her lip line, while joking, “Kindergarten has set me up for this because I always traced outside the lines. I couldn't get in the lines to save my life.”

Ripa’s trick is to then trace the brown contour with the MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Spice, which she also uses to line and fill in her bare bottom lip.

She completes her four-step lipstick routine with products from Lisa Rinna’s makeup brand, Rinna Beauty, starting with a matte nude lipstick that she tops off with the glossy Larger Than Life Lip Plumping Oil in Illusion

“That’s it. That’s how you go from flat upper lip to full upper lip,” Ripa said when her entire look was done.

Ripa’s lip-lining method was well received by fans who took to the comment section to share their excitement over trying it out. Plus, Ripa’s beauty influencer content got a stamp of approval from her daughter with Mark Consuelos, Lola Consuelos, 23, who wrote, “You are the most beautiful woman in the world.”

The Daytime Emmy Award winner may not have injected anything into her lips, but she has been open about the needle work she’s had done elsewhere.

In her 2022 PEOPLE cover story, Ripa spoke  honestly about her relationship with Botox which started with "pit-tox" to stop excessive underarm sweat.

"For me, it was just more of my comfort level," she explained. "If I worked off camera, I would not wash my hair with regularity or wear makeup but when I started to see things that I didn't like, I thought, well, the next turtleneck is going to have two eye holes. I'm not saying you should let people bully you into cosmetic procedures. These are my choices for me."
