Oprah Winfrey

Orpah Gail Winfrey (known as Oprah Gail Winfrey), is an American talk show host, actress, producer, author, and philanthropist. Beginning her career as a local news anchor, Oprah first rose to fame as a talk show host in 1986, helming the groundbreaking "The Oprah Winfrey Show" which ran to 2011 and was the highest rated talkshow of its kind in the history of television. Oprah also founded her own television network (The Oprah Winfrey Network or OWN), radio show, and magazine over the course of her career, as well as authoring five successful books. Oprah is often considered one of the most influential people of the 20th century.
