The last frontier here, I think, is batching requests for first revision ID, which is done in the event that a diff link is not available but a hist link is.

I'm not sure the database was ever in active use. In any case, I would want to rebuild it anyway, so I don't think there's any harm in deleting this particular one.

Progress made on this is that page histories are now being scanned in addition to watchlists and recent changes. In order to do this I had to make the entire script asynchronous since I added an asynchronous function call within what was previously a synchronous function. However in the process it seems to be less reliable in identifying additions of URLs to pages, either including URLs that were already on the page or missing ones that were added. However, I consider this progress, and I think the diffing algorithm is something we want to look at anyway.

A less direct, but less expensive, route is to just get the mapping of Wikidata IDs and then retrieve the sitelinks from each item individually. https://query.wikidata.org/#SELECT%20%3Fitem%20%3Fvalue%0AWHERE%20%7B%0A%20%20%3Fitem%20wdt%3AP11143%20%3Fvalue.%0A%7D

If we want to avoid bringing UnlinkedWikibase into this, what we could instead do is:
- Have a maintenance script that retrieves, from the Wikidata Query Service, a list of Wikipedia articles connected to items that are associate with MDWiki via P11143.
- Uses this mapping to update lang_links on a periodic basis
- Somehow convince MDWiki.org that it is a language edition of Wikipedia.

I raised the issue here for clarification regarding the Dutch Wikipedia’s stance. https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Caf%C3%A9_for_non-Dutch_speakers#Interpretation_of_link_policy

I have asked the developer(s) of “Synchronizer” to add support for MDWiki and NCCommons. https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Talk:Synchronizer#Support_for_mdwiki.org_and_nccommons.org
Here is the error from Template:Information
Appears to be the same error on https://nccommons.org/wiki/Template:Extracted_from
