How to catch a Russian submarine

How to catch a Russian submarine

A Navy frigate commander and a British submarine captain on playing cat and mouse in a ‘little bubble of GCHQ’

His crew responds immediately, twisting the Royal Navy’s Trafalgar-class submarine to manoeuvre the boat beneath the waves in an effort to shake off the weapon bearing down fast on their position."
In this exclusive conversation between The Telegraph's Associate Editor Dom Nicholl's and Captain Ryan Ramsey (retired) and Captain Tom Sharpe (retired) listen to how top naval commanders think about their work at sea, the issues, problems and rewards.

One reporter stands out

I’ve been listening to both Ukraine The Latest and Battle Lines since day one. Thank you so much! The professionalism and quality of your work is unmatched; it’s the air I breath 5 days a week. But one of your reporters clearly stands out, her disdain for Israel comes through no matter what the information is. When I see her name, I just fast forward or delete. And that’s unfortunate

Great podcast

I am really enjoying the broadened scope of reporting on conflicts around the world. This and its sister podcast, Ukraine, the Latest, are compelling and thoughtful. Many thanks to David Knowles and the Telegraph for providing these wonderful resources.
