How to Instant Spinach Idli at home

​Instant Spinach Idli​

It’s an easy and simple Idli recipe, which is rich in fiber and other nutrients and it doesn’t require the fermentation process. Tap to read the recipe and try it.

​Ingredients required​

1 cup semolina/rava, 3/4 cup curd, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 cups spinach, and 1/4 tsp eno/baking soda

​Step 1​

Dry roast semolina in a pan, till it turns aromatic.

​Step 2​

Allow it to cool and transfer in a mixing bowl.

​Step 3​

In the meantime, blanch the spinach leaves, cool them down and blend into a puree.

Add curd, salt, and spinach puree to semolina. Mix well forming a thick batter.

​Step 5​

Allow the batter to rest for 15-20 minutes.

​Step 6​

Check the consistency; add water if required and in the meantime, heat the idli steamer along with enough water and grease the idli stand with oil.

Add Eno/baking soda to batter, mix and pour the batter into the idli plates.

​Step 8​

Steam for 10-12 minutes on a medium flame. Serve hot with sambar and coconut chutney.
