About The Role

The luxury retail environment in Southeast Asia has been rapidly evolving, reflecting the region's economic ascent and cultural vibrancy. As we look ahead, this market is set to continue its transformation in the years to come. Advancing on its strategic intent of achieving “Uncontested Brand Leadership through a Transformative and Inclusive Organisation”, Chanel Southeast Asia and Australia & New Zealand (SEAA) Region will focus on building and strengthening solid foundations and investing ahead of the curve to become the decisive brand leader in every market.

The President's Office aims to elevate strategic planning and governance, drive business development, build insight, foresight, and external partnerships, as well as orchestrate change management. The Head of Strategic Planning and Governance, SEAA, will serve as a pivotal force within the President's Office, SEAA, orchestrating strategic planning and cultivating a culture of agile governance that collectively drives the region toward our strategic intent.

In this role, you will be collaborating with market, region and global planning and governance community as a complementary ecosystem.


  • Strategy Centre of Excellence: Establish strategic planning and governance capabilities for the region and serve as a COE to support market and regional business division / functions.
  • Strategic Planning Cycles: Orchestrate strategy and budget planning cycles (mid-term and annual) and facilitate the alignment process between market, region, and global.
  • Strategy Formulation: Lead the creation and refinement of strategic plans that resonate with the SEAA region's market dynamics and consumer behaviours, while also ensuring the alignment of a cohesive framework across the region.
  • Strategic KPIs: Develop a core set of strategic KPIs tailored to the unique strategic goals of the SEAA region and facilitate target setting as part of the planning cycle.
  • Corporate Governance: Cultivate an agile and transparent governance framework that empowers rapid and effective decision-making, ensuring that all decisions are made in the best interest of long-term strategic objectives.
  • Portfolio management and prioritisation: Govern the SEAA region's major project portfolio and facilitate the prioritisation that aligns with regional-level strategic big bets.
  • Transversal program management: Oversee and manage one-house / transversal projects, ensuring coherence in objectives, timelines, and outcomes in line with strategic priorities.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams through complex market scenarios and organizational changes.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a strategic mindset, enabling you to make data-driven decisions and prioritize long-term value creation.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, adept at engaging senior stakeholders and preparing materials for Board and executive committee meetings.
  • A dynamic, proactive personality with a strategic mindset and the drive to lead projects to successful outcome.
