"The A Team" is a 2011 folk song^[1] by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. It was his first single. It is the lead single from his first album, +. It went to the top 10 in Australia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland and the United Kingdom. It reached number 16 in the United States. It is about a homeless prostitute addicted to drugs. The song was nominated for an Grammy Award in 2013.
