Along with all of the new skills kids learn throughout childhood, they also acquire the confidence to use them. As children get older, that confidence can be as important as the skills themselves. Kids need to learn how to trust in their own capabilities while, at the same time, know that they can handle it if they aren’t successful at something. As adults, we can help create this sense of confidence through both our words and actions!
