Mopa terminal leaks, GMR says working on it
Panaji: Sunday’s heavy downpour disrupted flight operations with low visibility conditions and strong winds prompting airlines to either delay or divert flights that were to land at the Manohar International Airport at Mopa.
According to sources, five flights were diverted to Bengaluru on Sunday morning as heavy rains lashed the state.
While Akasa’s flight from Bengaluru to Mopa was cancelled, the airline’s Delhi-Goa flight was diverted to Bengaluru.

FLY91’s Agatti to Goa flight was also diverted to Bengaluru. The delays continued till late evening.
More than 10 flights were also delayed, some by over seven hours due to the unfavourable weather conditions.
With many fliers recording videos of a leaking terminal and circulating on social media, GMR Goa International Airport Ltd was forced to respond. Airport authorities said that they were making efforts to improve the situation.
