26 MLAs in touch with BJP:Bandi Sanjay Kumar

HYDERABAD: Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union MoS for home affairs on Sunday, said about 26 MLAs are in touch with BJP and that MLAs and elected representatives of other parties can join BJP only when they resign from their posts and seek re-election. He also expressed confidence that BJP will win by-elections if they happen.
Speaking to reporters in Karimnagar, he said “There are no possibilities of taking leaders facing CBI cases into our party.
BJP has nothing to do with ED and CBI investigation. MLAs from other parties cannot simply join our party like they do in BRS and Congress. When Congress made K Keshava Rao resign as the MP, why are they not making BRS MLAs who joined their party also resign” he stated.
The Karimnagar MP alleged that former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao delayed resolving the pending issues between Andhra and Telangana.
“But there is no such problem now. If chief ministers of both states work with commitment, issues can be resolved.” But even now BRS chief KCR is looking for an opportunity to instigate people, he added.
Regarding new chief for the party in Telangana, Bandi said, “The decision will be taken by the party high command, and there is no rule that party chief position cannot be given to new leaders.”
