CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2024 to Clash with JEE Main 2024 Session 2? CBSE Exam Controller Clears the Air

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education on Tuesday released the CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2024 along with the detailed timetable for Class 10 board exams 2024. The exams for both 10th and 12th are set to be held from February 15, 2024. The CBSE Class 10 exams 2024 will end on March 13 while CBSE Class 12 exams 2024 will conclude on April 2, 2024.
Just after the CBSE board exam 2024, many students will appear for the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Mains) 2024, a national-level competitive examination for admission into engineering courses at various prestigious colleges across India.The exam is conducted in two sessions every year i.e., January and April. Session 1 will be conducted from January 24 to February 1, 2024, while the JEE Mains Session 2 exam will be held from April 1 to April 15, 2024.

As CBSE Class 12 exams will end on April 2 and JEE Mains April exams 2024 will begin on April 1, there is a possibility of a clash in the exam dates between the CBSE board exams and JEE Mains 2024.
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj has reportedly given assurance that the board has implemented measures to maintain an adequate gap between these important exams.
Regarding this various media houses have quoted Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj as saying, "While preparing the date sheet, the board has kept in mind that there is a sufficient gap between the two subjects. Dates of competitive exams like JEE have been kept in mind while deciding the schedule for Class 12."
"The date sheets have been prepared by avoiding more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two subject exams fall on the same date," he added.

As per the circular released by the CBSE, "competitive examinations, including JEE Main, have been taken care of while preparing the date sheet for Class XII. These date sheets have been prepared by avoiding more than 40,000 subject' combinations to ensure that no two subjects' examinations of a student fall on the same date."
