Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan, reportedly had reservations about Shah Rukh Khan's role in 'Baazigar,' as revealed by the actor himself on The Kapil Sharma Show. They suggested making the mother's angle more emotional to soften the main villain's character. Abbas-Mustan later incorporated this suggestion into the film, which Salman acknowledged graciously.

Directed by Aditya Chopra, this romantic drama is considered a classic of Indian cinema. Salman Khan was considered for the role of Raj Malhotra, which ultimately went to Shah Rukh Khan. The film's enduring popularity and its impact on Bollywood's romantic genre are widely acknowledged.

Salman Khan was offered the role in "Chak De! India" but hesitated due to concerns about his image and the serious nature of the film. He felt his fans might expect him to wear a wig and win matches, which didn't fit the film's tone. At that time, he was focused on commercial cinema but appreciated meaningful films within that genre.

Salman Khan turned down the opportunity to star in the highest-grossing movie of that year, which also marked Asin's Bollywood debut. After his refusal, the role was offered to Aamir Khan, and the rest, as they say, is history.

During a press conference, Shah Rukh Khan disclosed that Salman Khan was considered for the role of Bauua Singh in the film Zero, as reported by Times of India. Interestingly, Salman later made a cameo appearance as himself in the song Issaqbaazi from the same film.
