'Kanakarajyam,' starring Indrans and Murali Gopy in lead roles, has encountered a slight delay in its theatrical release schedule.

Originally set to release on July 5, the family drama will now hit screens a day later, on July 6, due to unforeseen technical issues cited by the film's producers.

Explaining the postponement, the producers attributed it to the continued screening of some May releases and the favorable reception of June's films, which currently occupy a significant number of theatre screens. Notably, the multilingual blockbuster 'Kalki 2898 AD' is currently dominating the state's cinema halls, leaving limited availability for new releases like 'Kanakarajyam.'

'Kanakarajyam' is a narrative loosely inspired by real-life incidents, particularly revolving around a notable jewellery theft case that unfolded in Alappuzha back in 2005. On the last day, the makers unveiled the teaser for the film which promises a heartwarming family drama movie.
