Samantha Ruth Prabhu responds to criticism over alternative therapy post, says " This treatment was suggested to me by a highly qualified doctor"

Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently shared a note on social media after facing criticism from an alleged doctor who suggested that Samantha should be fined or jailed for her post discussing her alternative therapies and treatments. It began when Samantha posted a photo of herself using hydrogen peroxide nebulization to combat viral infections. This prompted a harsh response from an alleged doctor who accused her of endangering public health.

The actress wrote, "Over the last couple of years, I’ve had to take many different types of medicines. I’ve tried everything I was strongly advised to take. As advised by highly qualified professionals and after doing as much self research as is possible for a lay person like me.

In her post, Samantha explained that over the past few years, she has tried various medicines and treatments recommended by highly qualified professionals. Despite their high costs, these conventional treatments did not improve her condition. This led her to explore alternative therapies, which she found both effective and affordable.

Samantha added that her intention was not to advocate any specific treatment but to share her personal experience. She acknowledged the financial burden of conventional treatments and expressed empathy for those who cannot afford them. She noted that her post was meant to provide an option for those who are struggling with their health and looking for more affordable alternatives.

She also added, "This treatment was suggested to me by a highly qualified doctor who is an MD, who has served DRDO for 25 years. He, after all his education in conventional medicine, chose to advocate an alternate therapy."

In her note, Samantha addressed the doctor's harsh criticism. She expressed her disappointment that the doctor chose to attack her rather than engage in a constructive debate with her doctor, whom she had tagged in her post. She believed that a respectful discussion between two professionals could have been beneficial for everyone involved.

Samantha concluded by saying that her sole intention was to help others by sharing what worked for her.
